Comprehensive School Health & Student Emergency Preparedness Campaign
Instilling lifesaving instincts from an early age is vital to fostering a culture of mutual civic protection. Under the Comprehensive School Health & Student Emergency Preparedness Campaign, our healthcare teams successfully delivered practical first aid training and emergency evacuation drills to more than 12,000 high school students across 45 institutions during the past month.
Empowering Young Life-Savers
Research shows that students between 14 and 18 years old learn chest compression techniques rapidly and exhibit exceptional retention rates. By teaching them how to recognize fainting, treat bleeding, handle playground fractures, and call emergency services without panic, we turn schools into resilient emergency hubs.
Interactive Curriculum Highlights
The workshop engaged students through gamified scenarios, roleplay exercises, and physical manikin practice:
Hands-Only CPR
Teaching students the simplicity of uninterrupted chest compressions to the rhythm of popular 100-120 bpm beats, keeping oxygen flowing to the brain until emergency services arrive.
Playground Sports Injury Management
Immediate care for sprains, joint dislocations, epistaxis (nosebleeds), minor concussions, and applying the R.I.C.E. protocol (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation).
Choking Awareness in Lunchrooms
Recognizing the universal choking sign, clearing obstructions, and safely performing age-appropriate abdominal thrusts.
Fire Evacuation & Buddy System
Practical drills navigating smoke-filled rooms, using emergency fire exits calmly, and ensuring no classmate is left behind during stampede or disaster drills.
Creation of Junior First Aid Clubs
As a lasting outcome of the campaign, each school has established a permanent Junior First Aid Cadet Club supervised by school counselors and physical education instructors. These student squads are supplied with fully stocked wall-mounted first aid stations and will conduct peer refresher sessions every semester.
